Additionally, we are committed to expanding the state's transportation fleet by acquiring more buses and employing skilled drivers who will prioritize passenger safety and efficiency.
In a bid to modernize our public transportation system, we will introduce electronic card payments for bus fares, eliminating the need for cash transactions with drivers or conductors. This streamlined approach not only ensures a more convenient experience for commuters but also promotes transparency and accountability within the system. Our vision is to create a state-of-the-art transportation network that aligns with global standards, enhancing the daily lives of Oyo State residents.
While we strive for progress, we recognize the importance of local transportation options. Hence, Okada usage will be allowed as a means of local transportation, with a caveat. To enhance safety, Okada riders will undergo mandatory training and obtain driving licenses. Moreover, we will enforce the compulsory registration of all Okada riders, fostering accountability and responsible usage of this mode of transportation.
