State Transportation System

Ensuring a robust and efficient transport system is a key priority for my administration. To achieve this, extensive efforts will be directed towards the construction of new roads and the timely repair of existing ones. Recognizing the pivotal role roads play in connectivity and accessibility, we are committed to enhancing the overall infrastructure of Oyo State, promoting smoother and safer transportation for all residents.
 
In addition to road improvements, we will focus on augmenting the public transportation fleet by acquiring additional buses. To uphold safety standards, we will employ skilled drivers dedicated to providing reliable and secure transport services. Embracing technological advancements, we will implement electronic card payment systems on public buses, eliminating the need for cash transactions with drivers or conductors. This modern approach not only ensures convenience for commuters but also promotes transparency within the transportation system.
 
While supporting the use of Okada as a local transportation means, we recognize the importance of safety measures. To enhance the skills and qualifications of Okada riders, mandatory training sessions will be instituted, and obtaining driving licenses will be a prerequisite for operation. Furthermore, the registration of all Okada riders will be made compulsory, creating a comprehensive database that promotes accountability and responsible usage of this mode of transportation.
